How do I use Sodium Percarbonate?

To effectively remove stains from white linen (ideal for wine stains, jam, tomato sauce, grass, chocolate, etc.)

  • Mix 2 teaspoons of percarbonate in 1 litre of hot water.
  • The solution becomes effervescent.
  • Leave for 10 minutes to 1 night, depending on the strength of the fabric and the stains (or if they are old).
  • Then machine wash.

Tip

For a direct machine wash, put 1 tablespoon of sodium percarbonate in the bottom of the drum, then add your usual detergent and run a normal cycle. If your clothes are very grey, there’s nothing like soaking them in the Percarbonate solution before putting them in the machine. Please note that this recipe is only suitable for white clothes that do not contain coloured patterns that could cause discolouration.

To bring a sponge back to life

  • Mix one tablespoon of sodium percarbonate with 250 ml of hot water.
  • Double the dose for larger sponges.
  • Dip the sponge into a container containing the recipe.
  • Leave to soak for at least 2 hours, then rinse the sponge in clean water.

To remove greyness from white linen

  • Dilute 2 tablespoons of sodium percarbonate in a basin of hot water.
  • Soak your clothes for 30 minutes before putting them in the washing machine.
  • This recipe is only suitable for white laundry that does not contain any coloured patterns that could cause discolouration.

Recommendations

  • Do not use on coloured linen, as this may cause discolouration. Do not use on silk.
  • Do not expose to heat.
  • Store away from moisture.
